Willkommen im Hotel Amazonas, Children of the White Leaf

Heute stellen wir euch Children of the White Leaf aka Philip Janssens & Stefaan Huyghe aus Belgien vor:

Children Of The White Leaf is a collaborationplatform between Stefaan Huyghe and Philip Janssens.
They combine fieldrecordings, samples, tapeloops, contactmic’s and sofort used to generate often serendipitous sounds and a wide array of tones, drones and shy harmonics.
During their travel and stay they’ll work with physical space, radio waves, zero time and whatever appears willingly.

Philip Janssens, born 1980, lives and works in Antwerpen. He exhibited at Muhka, Z33, the Venice Biennal and Atelierhaus Salzamt.

Stefaan Huyge is currently a member of Jarenduren and played in various bands including Five Leaves Left and Herz Aus Glas.

Hotel Amazonas ist eine temporäre einmonatige KünstlerInnen-Residenz, installiert auf dem Aspmayr-Hof in Wangen am Ritten in Südtirol. Der ehemalige Bauern- und Gasthof wird ab Montag, 6. für den gesamten August umfunktioniert und zum Unterschlupf für Kunstschaffende und -forschende – parallel zur Residenz werden wir sie und ihre Arbeit in den kommenden Wochen auf Franz vorstellen.
