Ready to BUSK?!

Alex Shylow (BZ)
Schon mit acht Jahren komponierte er die ersten Lieder und jetzt bereichert er die Straßen San Franciscos. Die Verbindung zwischen Künstler und Publikum, die nur dort entsteht, schätzt er dabei am meisten – außer die Verbindung wird durch kaputte Gitarren gekappt – ein Horror für den Meraner.

Anne Dromeda (A)
Anne Dromeda descrive la sua musica come “Folk Pop e Psychedelic Chanson”. E non c’è da stupirsi che la colonna sonora della sua vita risuoni tra Bob Dylan, Joni Mitchell, Leonard Cohen e Jeff Buckley. La 27enne viennese già piangeva sulle note di “Do not Look Back in Anger” degli Oasis allo stadio di Wembley, e tornerebbe volentieri indietro nel 1969 per vivere sulla sua pelle l’emozione di Woodstock.

Démis (BZ)
Démis paragona sé stesso – un musicista – a un pittore: le immagini o canzoni che dipinge o scrive seguono le tracce della sua vita e diventano ricordi. Che lo scrivere musica l’abbia cambiato in meglio, l’ha notato tutta la sua famiglia. A Busk, il 30enne Démis “dipingerà” con le sue sonorità le strade di Merano. 

Fainschmitz (BZ, A, D)
Musicalmente si muovono tra gypsy, jazz, chanson e Dirty Horns, sul mappamondo invece fa avanti e indietro tra Italia, Germania e Austria. Il primo contatto con la musica per i tre membri della band Fainschmitz è stato con il “Kuschelrock” nel grembo materno, ma da allora si sono evoluti un bel po’ e musicalmente parlando, si emozionano quando si suona con precisione. 

Hans Sølo (D)
Für ihn bedeutet das Musikerdasein folgendes: „Ein Kopf voller Ideen, ein Regal voller CDs, ein Zimmer voller Instrumente und kein Geld auf dem Konto.” Nichtsdestotrotz liebt er das Busken, besonders, wenn jemand kurz stehen bleibt. Mit Indie-Folk will er die Welt verzaubern, ob mit Gitarre oder Ukulele ist dabei unwichtig.

Jo Stöckholzer (A)
Der „deutschsprachige Liedermacher mit einem Hauch Elektrizität” spielt normalerweise auf den Straßen Innsbrucks. Dabei amüsieren ihn nicht nur die, die sich über seine Musik freuen, sondern besonders jene, die voll unbegründetem Unverständnis sind. Er selbst war bisher bei nur einem Statement schockiert: „Du warst absolut der Beste – aber wie wir alle wissen, werden die Besten erst bekannt, wenn sie gestorben sind.“

Nina Duschek (BZ)
Ninas Leidenschaft entstand mit „Titanic”: Die 20-jährige Meranerin sang allein daheim zu Celine Dion und spürte, dass Musik das Richtige für sie ist. Zwar gab es Rückschläge, wie ein Auftritt in Cremona, wo sie eine Ladenbesitzerin verscheuchte, aber dennoch gab der Lady-Gaga-Fan („Ihr ist es egal, wenn sie nicht verstanden wird!”) nicht auf.

Polemici (BZ)
Polemici lost their hearts to Hip Hop: The formation never busked before but is absolutely motivated to jump in the game. Their frontman Tachi started listening to music with Adriano Celentano, introduced by his mother. But the times changed and Tachi turned to Hip Hop and Rap – no surprise that his dream concert would be Notorious BIG.

Sam Chalcraft (GB)
His hometown is Cornwall but soon he found his love for Austria and moved to Vienna: Sam Chalcraft is a true musician through and through – so much that there’s nothing he would rather do than music. His love for busking began at a young age: His grandfather inspired him by playing the saxophone on the streets of Cornwall.

Samuele Puppo (SV)
With a father as a bass player, a musical career is already written: Samuele Puppo started at the age of 8 and it was clear that there’s no possibility to stop. Like his biggest idol, John Mayer, he wants to impress his audience with a gentle sound, which will hopefully never be interrupted again by a falling curtain – a experience Samuele already made while he was playing in a pub.

Waira (BZ)
La 20enne di Salorno Waira, a luglio ha suonato per la prima volta sulla strada con il suo ragazzo e ha scoperto di non poterne più fare a meno. La colonna sonora della sua vita è portata da Tarzan e Pocahontas, anche se avrebbe preferito sentire dal vivo la “scena” più dura: quello dei Sex Pistols è il concerto al quale Waira più di tutti avrebbe voluto partecipare.
