BUSK Singer Songwriter Festival is back in Bolzano !

On May 15th and 16th 2015 franzmagazine.com is organizing the third edition of BUSK, the Singer-Songwriter Festival in the centre of Bolzano. For the third time we’re bringing buskers and their music out to the streets of the city.
15 musicians will spread their music in 10 locations. Everyone can participate, local but also international artists, in order to create an original, multi-faceted and multi-lingual festival which will bring quality street music to Bolzano.
In order to select the 15 musicians, each contestant will receive a profile on the site franzmagazine.com with links to one or more songs posted on Soundcloud, YouTube, Vimeo… , this profile can be voted by readers by clicking the facebook like button at the end of the article and the result will be added to a selection made by an expert group (consisting of musicians, music journalists and organizers of the Festival) . During the festival each musician will have a container for the collection of funds and a space to sell their products (CDs, t-shirts … ).

To participate, each band or musician has to follow some simple guidelines:
• the busking performance must be acoustic without amplification and/or electronic equipment 
• no covers allowed at any time – the artists have to play their own songs 
• preference will be given to the performance with vocals and guitar, only original songs
• the performance set has to last at least 1 hour – the buskers will change location every hour, following the established program of locations and time supplied by the organizers (no program changes are allowed without prior consent)
• the buskers are hosted (room and board) at our organization expenses and will receive a refund for their travel expenses
• artists must be present during the entire period of the festival, unless different agreement with organizers (Friday 15–19 H + Saturday 10–19 H – certainly with breaks)
• buskers who already participated 2 times at BUSK in the last years can not apply any more
• the application must contain photos and links to video or audio track

BUSK kehrt zum 3. Mal in die Bozner Straßen und Gassen zurück!

Am 15. und 16. Mai 2015 veranstaltet franzmagazine.com in der Bozner Altstadt zum 3. Mal BUSK, das Singer-Songwriter Festival. Zum dritten Mal werden Liedermacherinnen und Liedermacher Musik und Gesang zu den Menschen tragen und sie abseits von Konzertbühnen dafür begeistern.
15 Musikerinnen und Musiker werden an 10 Standpunkten akustisch ihre Musik spielen. Am Festival können alle teilnehmen – lokale, regionale und internationale Musikerinnen und Musiker. Denn das Motto bleibt: einzigartig, mehrsprachig, vielseitig. – Die Südtiroler Landeshauptstadt als Synonym für die Kunst und Vielfalt der Straßenmusik. Ein Festival für Bozen, Südtirol und seine Bewohnerinnen und Bewohner. 
Alle Bewerberinnen und Bewerber bekommen auf franzmagazine.com eine Profilseite, die sie vorstellt. Zum Festival werden 15 MusikerInnen oder Bands eingeladen, die eine  ExpertInnenrunde (bestehend aus MusikerInnen, MusikjournalistInnen und OrganisatorInnen) aus allen eingelangten Bewerbungen (inklusive Links zu einem oder mehreren Liedern auf YouTube, SoundCloud, Vimeo…) auswählt. Neben der ExpertInnenrunde kann auch das Publikum mittels Facebook-Voting (am Ende des Profils) für den Lieglings-Singer-Songwriter abstimmen. Gemeinsam wird also entschieden, wer bei BUSK 2015 dabei sein wird. Wie es sich für echte Straßenmusik gehört, kann dann beim Festival selbst jede/r Musiker/in einen Hut, Topf oder sonstiges aufstellen, wo die ZuhörerInnen als Dankeschön für die schöne Musik Geld reinwerfen können, und auch eigene CDs oder anderes (T-Shirts, Buttons…) verkaufen. 

Für die Teilnahme und Bewerbung, muss jede Musikgruppe oder jede/r Musiker/in folgende Dinge beachten:
• die Performance der selbst geschriebenen Stücke muss akustisch sein, das heißt ohne elektronische Verstärkung oder Hilfsmittel
• Cover sind nicht erlaubt, auch nicht auf Wunsch des Publikums – die MusikerInnen müssen ihre eigenen Stücke spielen
• bevorzugt werden Performances mit Gitarre und Stimme, nur selbst komponierte Stücke sind erlaubt
• das Performance-Set muss mindestens 1 Stunde dauern – die Buskers werden jede Stunde Standort wechseln, in Rotation und nach einem von der Organisation erstellten Plan mit Zeit + Ort (Programmänderung nur nach Absprache mit der Organisation)
• die Buskers sind Gäste (Unterkunft und Verpflegung) auf Kosten der Organisatoren und bekommen die Spesen für die An- und Abreise rückerstattet 
• die MusikerInnen müssen während der gesamten Dauer des Festivals anwesend sein, außer es wird anders mit den Organisatoren vereinbart (Freitag 15–19 H + Samstag 10–19 H – natürlich mit Pausen)
• wer in den letzten Jahren bereits 2x bei BUSK dabei war, kann sich nicht mehr bewerben
• die Bewerbung muss ein Foto und den Link zu einem Video oder zu einem Audio-Sample beinhalten

BUSK torna a colorare con tanta musica le strade di Bolzano! 

Il 15 e 16 maggio 2014 franzmagazine.com organizza nel centro di Bolzano la terza edizione dello Singer-Songwriter Festival . Per il terzo anno consecutivo portiamo insieme la musica fuori dalle sale e animiamo la città con proposte musicali alternative!
15 musicisti in 10 location diffonderanno la loro musica. Tutti possono partecipare: artisti locali, regionali ed anche internazionali. Un festival originale, dunque, multiforme e multilingue, un evento in cui la varietà artistica si fa connessione tra Bolzano e la musica di strada di qualità.
Per la selezione dei 15 musicisti che parteciperanno al Festival verrà dedicato ad ogni concorrente un profilo sul sito di franzmagazine.com. Dopo la raccolta dei materiali ricevuti (link ad una o più canzoni pubblicate su SoundCloud, Youtube, Vimeo…), la selezione avverrà da parte di un gruppo di esperti (composto da musicisti, giornalisti musicali e dagli organizzatori del Festival) a cui si aggiungerà la votazione online via Facebook.
Nei giorni del Festival, poi, ogni musicista disporrà di un contenitore per la raccolta fondi e di uno spazio per poter vendere i propri prodotti (cd, t-shirt…).

Per partecipare, ogni band o musicista deve seguire alcune semplicissime indicazioni:
• la performance dei propri brani deve essere acustica, ovvero senza amplificazione e/o apparecchiatura elettronica
• cover di brani sono vietate – gli artisti devono suonare brani propri
• saranno privilegiate le performance con voce e chitarra, con esecuzione di brani propri originali
• il performance set deve almeno durare 1 ora – i buskers cambieranno ogni ora postazione seguendo un programma con orari e location indicato dagli organizzatori (cambi di programma non sono ammessi salvo diversi accordi con gli organizzatori)
• i busker sono ospitati (vitto e alloggio) a spese dell’organizzazione e ricevono un rimborso spese per il viaggio
• devono essere presenti, salvo diversi accordi con gli organizzatori, per tutta la durata della manifestazione (venerdì 15–19 H + sabato 10–19 H – naturalmente con pause)
• chi in passato ha suonato già 2 volte a BUSK non può più partecipare
• la candidatura deve contenere foto e dei link a tracce audio o video di un proprio brano
• occorre compilare in ogni sua parte del questionario sottostante
