IPA (International Performance Association) Winter 2015 in cooperation with FWD – the mobile artspace from Switzerland

You asked for it – here we are:
Many people have asked if we want to start a second attempt with the IPA Winter:
Here we are! We found a fantastic house in the Swiss Alps, the Rover Zentrum in Engelsberg.

But the landlord can reserve it for us only for a short time: We have to rent and pay the house latest at 20 November 2014.

So – if you want to participate you have to register asap!!

The number of participants is limited to 16.

Arrival: January, 4th 2015
Departure: January 14th 2015

Be willing and prepared to work outdoors – we would like to benefit from this unique environment – from the snow, the cold, the ice, the darkness, the unique light, …

We work in two groups of 8 participants.

These are led by:

Verena Stenke, Germany (VestAndPage)
German artist Verena Stenke and Venetian artist, writer and curator Andrea Pagnes have been working together since 2006 as VestAndPage in Performance art, filmmaking, visual art, writing and as independent curators. 

Andrea Pagnes, Italy (VestAndPage)
Being among the most acclaimed representatives of contemporary Performance art from Italy, their works, recordings and live performances have been shown extensively across Europe, Asia, Latin America and the US at galleries, biennials, museums, festivals and theatres. 

Christine Biehler, Germany is an experienced teacher and artist. The main focus of her teaching and the accompanying research are: working in and with spaces, sculpture and time, action-oriented, site-specific mediation of art. Up to 2010 she was Professor at the Institute of Fine Arts and Art Sciences at the University of Hildesheim and developed the department for „Space“ with a focus on installation, exhibition and performance. 

Jürgen Fritz, Germany
He worked as a theater director, curator and actor, since 1984 as performance artist. He is co-founder of Black Market International, since the beginning of this international Cooperation of Performance Artists with whom he works since 1985. He showed his performances in all countries of Europe, the USA, Canada, Mexico Asia and Australia. 

Last, but not least, the team:

Dominik Lipp, FWD, Switzerland
Dominik Lipp has his roots in a broad tradition of performance art where body and mind are constantly challanged. He is active as a painter and performance artist in the Swiss town Rupperswil, nationally and internationally. In the years 2000-2006 he studied fine arts at Lucerne Scool of Art&Design.
