Das Gegenteil von träge + schlaff? – Dub Smugglers beim Dump Town Festival im Treindlerhof

The place to be kommenden Samstag, 21. Dezember 2013, 14 Uhr bis morgens um 3 am nächsten Tag, ist der Treindlerhof in Latsch. Dump Town Festival ist das Codewort. Die Gleeman Crew ruft und sie kommen aus Manchester angereist: Dub Smugglers, zwar mit leichtem Gepäck, aber schwerem, treibendem Dub. Sie füllen die zwei Stockwerke der legendären Disco Treindlerhof aber nicht alleine mit Sound. Oben gibt’s klassischen Rocksteady bis modernen Dub – vom Warrior Charge Sound System aus Udine, unten vor allem elektronische Klänge, von Drum and Bass bis Goa – vom Sound System des Schlanderser Musikkollektivs Revoltekk (u. a. Insomniac) plus live Akustik-Sessions mit beispielsweise auch Dominik Plangger. Aus Wien reisen Steady Rock an, Fans von Kravatte und Kravalle kommen auch auf ihre Kosten, weiters on stage: Shanti Powa Showcase, Stivelix, Lux, Witchdoctor, Kizin, DJ Tanga, One Eyed Giant und Don Crasher and Big B. Kunst kommt von Giovanni Zuanelli sowie Manuel und Co. (Steinmetzschule Laas) und Live Graffiti Sessions mit El Mexicano  und Peter Parschalk.

We take inspiration from Dub, Reggae, Ska, Hiphop and anything that’s got real feeling; we then try and beef it up with dub step style production to shake your body within an inch of your life!   We’ll be bringing loads of our own productions and loads of other people’s ranging from classic reggae to unreleased dub of the future!
