Your First contact with music?/Il primo contatto con la musica/Dein erster Kontakt mit der Musik?
At home singing old Irish songs with my family.

What do Ilke about playing music on the street?/Che cosa ti piace del suonare per strada?/Was gefällt dir an der Idee, auf der Straße zu spielen?
You play to real people and learn so much about yourself and your music. You enjoy your music and for me, that is the real reason to play music. There is no room for ego.

Which concert Impressed you particularly and why?/Il concerto che ti ha colpito di più e perché?/Welches Konzert hat dich besonders beeindruckt und warum?
Bruce Springsteen in Dublin. Amazing live show. No ego. Only heart!

The soundtrack of your current life?/La colonna sonora della tua vita ora?/Der Soundtrack deines derzeitigen Lebens?
Right now it has to be my new album ‘Everything You Need Is Here’.  I am living with these songs as I play from town to town, country to country. Busking them on the streets and playing them in venues as I go. Doing this the songs take on a life of their own and you learn to fully understand them. On the road is the place where the songs came from initially. ‘Everything You Need Is Here’ was written on the road touring my last album  ’The Watcher & The Come’.  This new tour already breaths life into new songs!

What does it mean to be a musician?/Cosa significa essere un musicista?/Was bedeutet es, Musiker/in zu sein?
Everything!  Hence the title of the new album. ‘Everything You Need Is Here’.  It’s who I am.  I am songwriter and the music comes with that.  It is both music and song that defines me and takes me to these wonderful places. Places where I meet amazing people and make new friends. You become the vehicle… and the music becomes the magic that makes that vehicle move. It’s the heartbeat!

What does your family think of your choice to be a musician?/Cosa ne pensa la tua famiglia della scelta di fare musica?/Was sagt deine Famile zu deiner Entscheidung, Musiker/in zu werden?
I am an Artist first and foremost. By trade I am an Animator and Storyboard artist. So my family had to deal with my choices  early on in my life. They were unsure if there was a future in my art. Music comes from that same place and I am sure they had the same feelings. I am lucky that my family believe in me. My music makes me happy. It makes others happy… and in turn  that makes them happy. So yes I am very fortunate to have their support as well as the support of close friends! It makes the road that bit easier!

Dream concert – impossible concert: who would you like to hear?/Concerto dei sogni – concerto impossibile: chi vorresti sentire?/Das Konzert deiner Träume – ein unmögliches Konzert: wen würdest du gerne mal hören?
John Lennon… unplugged… in a small cellar!

Best or worse experience of your musical career?/Aneddoti: la migliore o peggiore esperienza della tua carriera musicale?/Deine schönste oder schlimmste Erfahrung im Laufe deiner Musikkarriere?
I am a positive person so I see the best in most situations. I have had so many good experiences… and there has been some scary hairy ones too ; ) But right now, touring the album is the experience of a lifetime. It’s mind blowing! You can be in any city in Europe, playing venues or street corners. Everything changes. Colours, sounds and scenery! You learn so much and live a lot more too.  It’s always the little things though. Like people singing your songs along with you, even if they may be in Gaelic… a small girl or boy throwing coins into your hat…running away laughing… now it doesn’t get better than that! But you do have to wonder though… where are these children… getting all this money ???  ; )
